Planning a photo session can feel overwhelming—but it doesn’t have to be! At krisann photography, my goal is to make the process simple, fun, and stress-free. Booking & Scheduling
Q: How far in advance should I book my session?
I recommend booking your session 4–8 weeks in advance to secure your preferred date and allow plenty of time for planning. For peak seasons (spring and fall), earlier booking is encouraged.
Q: How do I book a session?
Simply head to my Contact Page or Booking Calendar to submit an inquiry. Once we’ve confirmed availability, I’ll send over a contract and retainer invoice to officially secure your date.
Q: What days/times do you offer sessions?
Most sessions are scheduled during golden hour (the 1–2 hours before sunset) for the most flattering natural light. I shoot on weekday evenings, with limited weekend availability for weddings and special sessions.
Session Preparation
Q: I’m not sure what to wear—can you help?
Absolutely! Once you book, I’ll send you my Style & Session Guide full of tips, outfit inspiration, and color palette suggestions. I’m also happy to review outfit options and provide feedback based on your location and session type.
Q: Do you offer location recommendations?
Yes! I have a curated list of my favorite photoshoot locations in Riverside, Orange County, and beyond—including beaches, parks, historic downtowns, and unique hidden gems. I’ll help you choose the perfect backdrop based on your vision.
Q: What happens if the weather doesn’t cooperate?
I closely monitor the forecast leading up to your session. If weather becomes an issue (rain, heavy wind, etc.), we’ll reschedule for the next mutually available date.
During the Session
Q: I’m nervous about posing—will you help?
Absolutely! Most of my clients feel a little nervous at first, and that’s completely normal. I’ll guide you through natural, easy-to-follow prompts to help you relax and look your best. My goal is to capture authentic, candid moments that reflect your personality.
Q: How long does a typical session last?
Family, maternity, or senior sessions : 1-2 hours depending on the package
Engagement or couples sessions : 3+ hours
Branding sessions : varies based on package
Weddings : Full day and customized coverage available
Gallery & Delivery
Q: How long will it take to receive my photos?
Portrait sessions : 2 weeks
Weddings : 8 weeks
Sneak peeks: Available within 48 hours of your session
Q: How will I receive my images?
You’ll receive a private online gallery where you can download high-resolution images, share with family and friends, and order professional prints directly from my trusted lab.
Q: Can I order prints or albums?
Yes! I offer a full range of professional prints, canvases, and heirloom albums to preserve your memories beautifully. You can order directly from your gallery or through me for custom-designed albums.
Pricing & Payment
Q: How much do sessions cost?
Pricing varies depending on the type of session. You can view detailed pricing information on our Investment Page. Custom packages are also available for weddings and branding.
Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept credit/debit cards through my secure online booking system, as well as Zelle and Venmo.
Q: Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! I offer flexible payment plans for weddings and larger packages to make your investment more manageable.
General Questions
Q: Do you travel for sessions?
Yes! While I’m based in Riverside, I love traveling for sessions. Travel fees may apply for locations outside my standard service area—just ask for a custom quote.
Q: Can I bring pets or props?
Absolutely—fur babies are always welcome! If you plan to bring pets or special props, just let me know in advance so I can help plan accordingly.
Q: Do you photograph extended families?
Yes! Extended family sessions are available and include special posing combinations to make sure everyone is included.
