Through My Lens | A Personal Note From the Photographer
It’s hard to believe how quickly time slips by—it’s been a while since I last sat down to share on the blog, and I’ve genuinely missed it. Writing is always on my heart, but between sessions, editing, and everyday life, it somehow kept getting pushed aside. And just like that... a whole year passed.
So as I step back into a more intentional blogging rhythm, I can’t think of a better way to start than with one of my favorite engagement sessions from last fall—set against the stunning desert landscape of Joshua Tree. This session was filled with golden light, quiet moments, and the kind of love you can feel in every frame. If you're dreaming of a romantic, nature-filled engagement shoot, this one’s for you.
I have wanted to shoot in Joshua Tree for as long as I can remember, so when Hector and Brenda requested that their engagement session be held there, I jumped at the chance! (I had also just upgraded my camera and was itching to put it to use!)
From beginning to end, this session was simply magical.
The weather was perfect. The light was soft and glowing.
And our couple SLAYED!
I joked that they should consider modeling as a side gig, but in all seriousness, they could!
Not to mention her fabulous ring, that we just had to show off every chance we got!
Hector and Brenda, it was an honor to be chosen to capture not only your engagement photos, but also your wedding.
We truly had the most fun with you two! You guys are amazing!
We hope to create many more memories with you in the future!
